How Your Advice Can Make Your Bank Account Happier

Do people come to you often asking you advice about a specific topic(s) AND they successfully use the advice?

If so, congratulations, you have used knowledge that you already know to solve someone’s problem!

If you have personally experienced the information you shared with a friend, family member or acquaintance and it solved someone’s problem, you are considered an expert and provided consulting services.  I would even guess that you probably gave that information away for a whopping price tag of F.R.E.E. (Don’t feel bad, we all do it.)

Most of my clients immediately think that they need to learn something entirely new and foreign to them in order to make money. 

Businesses are problem solvers and they make money from selling their solutions.  These solutions can be a product or a service in a physical or digital format. The type is based on what is easier for the client to use successfully. 

If you are a mom, think about the advice you’ve given to other moms about calming fussy babies quickly.

If you are a notary who conducts e-notarizations, think about the advice you’ve shared with other notaries interested in learning how to do this work in your state.

If you are a hairstylist, think about the tips you’ve shared with women ways to help their hair grow quickly and they've started using these tips in their hair care routine.

So, you know what I’m getting at, right?

All of these examples can become the basis of a new e-book, virtual workshop or a digital course offered by your business for a lot more than F.R.E.E.

When you are thinking about what type of business you should start, first think about what you can start for yourself based around knowledge you already possess before considering any other type of business. 

This will benefit you because:

1 – You’ll bypass a large chunk of the learning curve you’ll need to climb because you already have the knowledge.

2 – You’ll save money because you won’t have to spend unnecessary time and resources learning something new.

3 – You’ll be able to launch faster which means you can make money sooner.
